Laser Sweat Ablation:
LSA - Laser Sweat Ablation:
The sweat glands in the skin are situated
just below the surface in a region called the dermis.

The LSA operation involves injecting local
anaesthetic under the skin.
The skin is separated pushing the Dermis
(skin)
upwards and the sub-cutaneous fat downwards.
A laser is passed into the dermis and is
fired, destroying the Sweat Glands.
A special suction tool is then put in, sucking
the dead sweat glands out of the body.
The whole procedure is done under local
anaesthetic as a walk-in, walk-out procedure. It takes about 1 hour to
perform and stops arm pit sweating permanently in 70 - 80 % of people having
the procedure done at the first attempt.
The LSA procedure was invented by Dr G.
Blugerman in Buenos Aries, Argentina. Mr Mark Whiteley trained with Dr.
Blugerman and has brought the LSA procedure to the UK.
